Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Fayndar application and related services (the “App”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. About Fayndar

Fayndar is an organizational tool designed to help users track where their household items are stored. The App is not a home security product and must not be relied on for security purposes.

2. Eligibility

You must:

• Be at least 16 years old
• Provide accurate and truthful information when signing up
• Maintain confidentiality of your login credentials

Accounts may be suspended or terminated if we detect misuse or false information.

3. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy of all content you upload
• Choosing what information to store in the App
• Managing and securing access to your device and account
• Complying with all applicable local laws

You agree not to upload:

• Exact home addresses or highly sensitive residential details
• Detailed information about expensive or high-value items
• Illegal content or content that violates others’ rights

Any content uploaded is stored at your own risk.

4. Household Accounts

The App may allow multiple users under the same household. Household owners may:

• Invite or remove members
• View all items saved within the household

We are not liable for any disputes between household members or shared-data consequences.

5. User Content Ownership & License

You retain your rights to the content you upload. However, you grant us a limited license to:

• Store, display, and process your content
• Improve App functionality and AI models
• Maintain backups and provide customer support

This license is worldwide, royalty-free, and revocable when content is deleted.

6. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use the App for illegal or harmful purposes
• Attempt to breach App security or access another user’s data
• Upload malicious code or interfere with App functionality
• Sell or exploit App features fraudulently

Violation may lead to account suspension or legal action.

7. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, including:

• Non-infringement
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Security or error-free operation

We do not guarantee:

• Protection against theft or loss of property
• Accuracy or reliability of item classifications or AI suggestions
• Continuous availability of the App

Your use is entirely at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fayndar and its affiliates are not liable for:

• Loss, theft, or damage caused by data you upload
• Unauthorized access or breaches affecting user data
• Any kind of indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Security risks arising from storing household-related information

In no event will liability exceed the amount you paid (if any) for using the App.

9. Subscription Payments & Billing (If Applicable)

Premium features may require payment. Subscriptions:

• Auto-renew unless canceled before the current term ends
• Are managed through the App Store / Google Play settings

We do not issue refunds except as required by applicable law.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if:

• You violate the Terms
• You misuse or abuse the App
• You upload harmful or illegal content

Upon termination, your access to stored data may be limited or removed.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the new Terms.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the UAE, Dubai, regardless of conflict-of-law principles.

Users agree to:

• Attempt informal resolution first
• Submit disputes to binding arbitration or appropriate courts in that jurisdiction
